This repair added 1.83 ounces to the center wing which includes the lead added to the opposite side for lateral balance.
Foaming Gorilla Glue was used to build up a light coating over the fiberglass and to build up and shape a leading edge over the carbon fiber and epoxy. The Gorilla Glue was sanded to shape. Bondo was used to fill in and final shape the repaired area. Basically, the repair is a blue foam core with layers of fiberglass, carbon fiber (to stiffen the leading edge and form a D-channel), foaming glue (to build up a light layer) and finally bondo (to finish it smoothly).
