Annual Aero-Tow
Mike had something to add: We did it. It was nasty: 45 degrees in the morning and then barely reacheing 50. The sky was fully covered with clouds and winds reaching 25 MPH. The tows were spectacular: hop over the tree line, correct the heading straight into the wind and maintain climb in motionless flight. We were reaching release altitude in less then 2 minutes no matter what size of the glider was on tail. You might think there are no thermals in such a cold and cloudy day. Get yourself a Looking Glass Slipper and let me tow you up. Those big ones are not much borthered by the wind. Yap! No casualties. Some cracked (out of the cold) monocote covering on some of the vintage ships. The rest of them got back home the way they arrived at the field, but with lots of new experiences. Had a Great Time. Thanks a lot fellows.
